Celebrate the beauty of the season with watercolor! This class is inspired by Nature Shared, the University Wine Company’s October Artist-of-the-Month gallery featuring the nature-inspired artwork of Sarah Zappe and her mother, Barbara Rzasa. This relaxed workshop invites you to slow down, notice the details of autumn, and create your own interpretation of the natural world.
Sarah, owner of Kaleidoscope PA, will bring a collection of fall inspiration, including leaves, acorns, seedpods, mushrooms, and other seasonal treasures. Participants can choose what inspires them and create their own watercolor nature study. She’ll demonstrate approachable techniques for capturing autumn colors, shapes, and textures and share examples for inspiration, including this whimsical mushroom watercolor painted by her mother.
No watercolor experience is necessary. Come enjoy a glass of wine, experiment with watercolor, and discover what catches your eye in nature. All materials are provided.
